Welcome to the West Lothian Angling Association Website

West Lothian Angling is a community Fishing Club located in West Lothian, Scotland. With over 56 miles of river fishing, we offer a unique angling experience for all fishing enthusiasts and all abilities.
Our club is dedicated to preserving and promoting the sport of fishing, and we welcome new members who share our passion. Join us today to explore the beautiful River Almond and its tributaries, including the Breich Water, Linhouse Water, Killandean Burn, Harwood Water, West Calder Burn, and Murieston Water.
We are committed to providing affordable local fishing as well as supporting local projects based around fishing and the river. These include litter picks, riverbank restoration, removal of weirs and learn to fish programs.
We offer day tickets as well as season permits however as our season permits are so well priced we sell very few day tickets. Day tickets are priced at £5 per day and season permits cost just £18*. Permits are available at local tackle shops and on our website above. Under 16s fish for FREE on an adult ticket this is to comply with our club insurance.
Real Time River Levels

Did you know that you can check the current water height of the river Almond at Almondell Country Park?
The SEPA water level monitor sits just down from the canal feeder bridge (the green bridge, pictured in the background here). This Bridge is named the ‘canal feeder bridge’ as it carries the main source of water from the river to the Union Canal.
